Northern Lights 2
Following the success of last year's conference the event is back on 7th October 2011.
We have retained the parts that worked well and enhanced others to help you gain your full six hours of Collaborative Focused CPD in one convenient and cost effective day. We are holding the event at the Park Plaza Hotel in Leeds City Centre. The proximity to the train station and a relative central location for the region makes this a good venue for us to come together. With a 2 for 1 deal on drinks in the bar after the conference why not catch a later train and join us for a drink or two and catch up with old friends.
We are supporting Children in Need this year. We are hoping that delegates will help support the charity by making a small donation.
A special "Brighter Future" Pudsey Bear will be traveling across the region in the month before the conference, by DX, visiting as many PODs as possible and having his photograph taken at each POD's most iconic location. The "POD Fathers" have agreed to take care of Pudsey whilst he is with their POD and they will be getting in touch with all members of the POD to organise both a news event and fund raising event to help Children in Need and at the same time spread the word about Collaborative Family Law. We hope you will support them and Pudsey by adding your photos to Pudsey's Facebook page.
There will be a fresh set of workshops for you to select from that will aid you in the marketing of your collaborative divorce practice as well as enhancing your skills and knowledge both from a legal aspect as well as introducing other professionals who make up the team to support clients through this process.
We will be asking you to share your thoughts and ideas on how you would like to see the promotion of Collaborative Law focused over the coming twelve months through a World Café event. The ideas and suggestions generated in these sessions will be used in the closing plenary to ensure that the conference enhances the growing momentum for collaborative law across our region.
This year we have an online booking facility to help smooth the registration process and see our delegates gain access to as many of their selected workshops as possible. There are limited numbers in the workshop rooms so unfortunately we are unable to guarantee you can attend your preferred selection The process is, however, a "first come first served" basis so by booking early you should secure your preferred choice.
We have established online payment facilities this year and these have been integrated into the online booking process. Should you wish to pay by cheque then this can still be done.
