How are family professionals involved in collaborative law?

Sometimes during your discussions with your former partner and your lawyers, you need specific advice or support - perhaps around issues such as finance, tax or pensions; or perhaps emotional support from a counsellor or coach.

There are a number of such specialists who are trained in collaborative family law and part of Brighter Future, and your lawyers may suggest bringing them in to a meeting to contribute to your discussions on particular issues.

Ultimately, you decide who you want to work with, but knowing that there are specialists available to provide input should you need it, and who understand the collaborative process, can help things run more smoothly.

You can find a list of family professionals who are Brighter Future members here.
