Collaborative Family Law Week 2016: Thank you for your support!

The aims of Brighter Future are twofold: to help our members develop their skills and expertise; and to promote collaborative family law across the North of England, and beyond.

The annual Northern Lights conference continues to be popular and receive support from both members and the wider DR community, but this year we wanted to add something else into the mix. And so, Collaborative Family Law Week (#CFLWeek) was born.

Running from 3-7 October, in the lead up to the seventh Northern Lights conference in York, the week provided a focus for collaborative family professionals and other DR practitioners to increase awareness and understanding of collab.

Keeping it simple

Our aim was simple: to work together to help raise the profile of the collaborative approach and its benefits for separating couples. Activity over the course of the week was focused online and around social media, based around a series of daily blog posts here looking at different aspects of the collaborative process:

Monday 3rd: working together
Tuesday 4th: staying out of court
Wednesday 5th: keeping control
Thursday 6th: maintaining dignity
Friday 7th: future focused

Thank you!

We were thrilled with the number of firms and practitioners who got involved and helped us spread the word by telling family, friends, clients and talking about #CFLWeek on their social networks. Thank you all for your support. It just goes to show that by working together, we can achieve real momentum and positive outcomes - after all, isn't that what a collaborative approach is all about?
